Sawaii said so? O__o I can kind of see how it came about, though.

I like the art style in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Steel Ball Run. Araki has his own style apart from most (even though you can tell the early volumes were pretty heavily influenced by Hokuto no Ken) that I really enjoy. I like the crazy fashions too, they fit with the off the wall Stand abilities.

I also like manga where the artist does something interesting with a page, like when Osamu Tezuka would break the fourth wall in a really serious work or slices panels apart with a character's sword, because you can tell he was having fun doing it.

For action scenes, Hajime no Ippo is a great one. After reading a volume of a great fight in HnI, sometimes I want to step into the boxing ring right then and there.

For Shoujo I don't have any particular pattern I look for. I usually just look at the storyline. My favorites are Glass Mask and Banana Fish. Anything that is sort of different from the usual I guess.

The crazy fashions in JoJo's rock. They're quite funky and make me think that everyone is a 1950s locomotive conductor. XD

I was reading Buddha by Osamu Tezuka a while back. I never finished it but it was VERY good. I recommend it to all manga readers.

I will have to read Hajime no Ippo then! I need inspiration. Smile

For shojo I look first at the storyline, then at the art style. If it's acceptable by my tastes then I read it and love it. I highly recommend Heaven!!, a short 3-volume manga about a girl who can see spirits and runs around getting hilarious nosebleeds of death and not being able to decide who she loves and etc. If you are looking for an interesting cast of characters, PICK IT UP. Very Happy
